we had to put Rudy's pet cat "down", which is to say, take it to the vet so THEY could kill him. He was a good cat, and Rudy loved him dearly and the cat loved Rudy just as much. But he was 14 years old and falling apart- bowels failing, blood in his feces, barely any teeth, in constant pain... he was a happy cat tho, within his functional boundaries. But we were both very sad and that segues into today.

I was thinking that "Nature", when designing us, had forgotten to add a pleasant ending to life. We were "designed" to be born, grow to a reproducing age, reproduce, then... Buh-Bye, glad to have met you, but we're done with you now. Yes, really. Thanks. There's the door, be a good fellow, won't you?

Life sucks.

that I am making it a new part of every post I make here! Only until I get bored with it everyone, don't worry, it ain't forever. Mama Snake has a short attention span and gets bored WAY too easily.

We have been moving my husband into an assisted living place! Yay! now he's getting more and more independence back, which means he will hopefully be coming home soon. More realistically, he may end up spending a life cut down WAY too short in living centers. Hopefully not happening, I become a widow with 3 kids within a years time.

There had better be an afterlife. I have spent WAY too short a time on this Earth with my husband to lose him now. Speaking of which, I hadn't had a breakdown for quite some time, but had an emotional melt-down last night. The whole "unable to stop crying in that deep down, staggering breath that tears the cries of anguish out of you as your life is squeezed out" kind of crying. Was not fun. No need for fake Haitian/Louisiana cajun talk here.

Well, thank God for system restore and system restore points. I managed to get into safe mode and back up to a previous restore point. Boing. Suddenly I can use my computer again.

since I have been here. Been a while since I have had the mental and physical energy to do so. Right now I have me a hideous problem. I have a winxp installation that has gone- wrong. Yesterday it booted up fine. Today I can't get into the winxp partition when I boot. Goes to the "welcome" screen and stops there. No music saying "hi", no nothing. Just stops. So I've been trying to use the "Recovery Console" to rfix my problems. Ain't THAT a frickin' joke. If you've ever tried out your Recovery Console, it's like using ms-dos 5.0, except without as much usability. And I grew up on ms-dos... I thot upgrading to ms-dos 5 was a good thing! : ) A little time exxageration there, but I hope you understand what I have been trying to say.

So I dunno what to do. If I pull the disk out of the machine to save the files, I can't because it's NTFS and all my other machines (4 of them!) are FAT32, and FAT32 can't read NTFS. And the machine with the hard drive ZAPS the MBR if you take the disk out of the machine. How nice. So you have re-install and lose everything.

But the Recovery Console hasn't helped me. I have used what commands I thot could help me and nertin'. The one command I am thinking of using is possibly as dangerous as taking the drive out of the machine and having the MBR get zapped. The command is "FIXMBR". I tried it to see what it would say and it says I have a non-standard or damaged MBR. And if I use FIXMBR, I could damage the MBR to the point that I wouldn't be able to access any of the partitions. But then, who knows- it might suddenly make everything wonderful again.

Fuck me with a chainsaw.

So I am gonna give it a little time, screw around with it a bit, and if nothing works, the dreaded FIXMBR will be pulled out of the closet... the canvas will be removed, the dust blown off... it will be greased, any needed fluid tanks will be topped off... I'll sharpen the blades with my SPECIAL file and test it on a- special part of my body (oooh- blood!)... and then I'll use it- God help me, I'll use it.

that is small and dumb and while actually not that bad is SO not worth putting up on the actual site. Go to the GF forum and read it there, or any of the other fetish forums that I remember how to get to. Later when I remember how to get to more of the fetish forums I'll get them there too.
