My husband put his old, sad cat to sleep today. Well, he took it to the vet and they did it. The cat was very old, very thin. Lots and lots of physical problems and even mental problems- had the cat equivalent of dementia and confusion. It was a great cat, and I had come to love it myself in the ime we have been dating and married.

Rudy's been dealing with it like a man, in that STUPID "I'm not going to cry way" you MEN do, walking around with red eyes and being mopy but not giving in and CRYING like I've been doing on and off all day.

Sigh.
