Here's The Deal Then
My husband (code name: Rudy) has had a Cardiac Event, and now I can talk a little about it. We're past the ciritical time, and he's in no immediate danger. Thank the God I don't believe in. It's a long story, his heart, and I knew I married into potential heartbreak of my own when I married him but it was worth it and it's still worth it now.
Rudy is a two time cancer survivor, having had Hodgkins Lynphoma in his mid-teens. They used radiation treatment to "cure" it which is good and bad. \Good, because it saved his life, bad because it gave him thyroid cancer 10 years later and he had to have THAT removed. Also bad, because the radiation damaged his heart and his lungs.
Right now he's in the hospital, non-critical care, and his "event" has "given" him congestive heart failure which sounds scary and it is, but they have treatments for that, medicinal and surgical.
He may be coming home soon, for a while, before having to go back in for a "procedure", and we're looking at a valve replacement in 5 to 10 years, and a POSSIBLE, POSSIBLE need for a heart TRANSPLANT sometime in the future.

Everytime things have gone good in my life, something has happened to fuck it up, and things were going good and now- well, I may have done it to myself, but this affects HIM worse. It will just make me and the kids SAD if he dies, but it will make him DEAD if he dies so I guess I have it easy.
