I was asked that question on the Girl Flesh forum when I posted my LAST post to that forum. Well, no, not yet, but here is the latest on the "my life has become horror" front:

When Rudy was discharged from the hospital on Saturday (and we came home), he had horrific swelling and was horribly nauseated and puking all the time. They figured it would get better. So on Saturday night we slept together in the same bed for the first time in FOREVER.

The next day was bad. Anxiety. Increased swelling. Decreased urination. Inability to keep anything at all down, leading to dehdyration.

Monday we call 911 and get him to the hospital. Again. And after some tests, we find this next thing out. His THIRD heart valve is shot and getting worse. Moderate to severe failure. And THIS was causing all of the above problems.

So right now he is in the hospital, we are getting more tests done tomorrow, and we are going to see what we are to do. Right NOW the doctor is hoping this can be treated medically.

I don't know how much more I can TAKE. Alcohol is the end of the world for me, yes, but it IS relief.

It never seems to end. I find out today from my mother, on the phone, that while I have been in the hospital with Rudy, that my STEPFATHER HAS HAD A STROKE and no one was telling me becauser they didn't want me to worry more.

God wants me to drink again. I swear. My back injury, Rudy's cardiac event, my emergency c-section, my uterine infection, my in-laws raising my children, Rudy's heart surgery, my stepfather's stroke...

My stepfather is basically fine- he has some left-sided weakness and when he does the "raise your left arm and touch your nose with your finger" exercise, he'll touch his eye... his mouth droops and his speech is somewhat slurred, his gag reflex is gone so he chokes on thin liquids... he's out of the hospital and going to get therapy soon.

The only real thing thing that stops me from drinking ANYTHING again is the knowledge that once I start I will never stop.

But MAN it's hard.

Only her arms remained unswallowed, sticking out of the snake's mouth from the elbows down. Her hands clutched at the carpet, the only thing she could touch, but it was no use. Her body was wedged tightly in the throat of the snake as it swallowed her alive, her head at the back of the snake mouth. Any further and it too would be in the snake throat. She could scream no more- she was nearly resigned to her fate of being DIGESTED ALIVE...

Things are going well and they suck as well. We have DSL in Rudy's hospital room, so I can feed my internet addiction and such... his surgery went well. They replaced his valves great, he's literally ticking right along, but he's retaining TONS of fluid and the docs aren't sure why yet. So while things are going wll, they also suck. He's sick, retaining fluid in his lungs, he hurts bad all the time... his heart was also discovered to be too small for someone his size, but that's a result of the radiation treatment he had when he was a teen.

Sandra screamed and pulled at the foot of the bed as the snake that was eating her alive swallowed again. She could feel her feet and legs far down inside the tight snake throat,and it's scaley lips were inching it's way up her abdomen. She was nude, having come straight from the shower when the snake had lept from the window, tangled her, and started swallowing her whole. No one was home, and Sandra feared the snake was going to swallow her whole, and slither back out the window to DIGEST HER ALIVE...

Anyway, hello. I am writing this entry from the surgery waiting room at the hospital in the wonderful city of Seattle Washington. Rudy, my husband, is currently having at LEAST one of his heart valves replaced... his aortic heart valve is so bad they HAVE to replace it and so they are. They might be also replacing his mitral heart valve at the same time...

Needless to say, I am going thoroughly INSANE from the stress. My moter-in-law and her husband are taking care of my kids... Rudy and I barely even KNOW our children any more, we haven't been able to take care of them- me with my back and the c-section, and Rudy with his heart... I am sick inside because my kids are actually calling their GRANDPARENTS mommy and papa sometimes : (

Fuck. Anyways, hope to keep everyone posted as stuff goes by, so take care and keep dreaming...

Well, it's Wednesday and man we have been busy. Repeated, Rudy is having heart valve replacement surgery on this upcoming Monday and we have been racing everywhere. Three appointments in Seattle this week alone ad all of us driving, staying in motels, driving, packing, going insane...

Soon, soon, I will be able to start writing stories again. This situation cannot last FOREVER.

well, a short update. Rudy's "balloon" didn't work, he's having heart valve replacement surgery in mid May. My infection has cleared up. My baby is growing, finally. I am busy, stressed out, and alive. And sober- wow.

Soon I will write more and update my actual site : )
