Not my BIRTHDAY birthday, but my soberiety birthday. I have been sober for FIVE YEARS now! Although at times (especially during the past year and a half) it's been HARD to stay sober.

The bad news is I haven't stayed "clean". I an an addictive personality. As such, I abuse any pain meds I happen to get. I take them for pain, of course. I just take also take them for NOT pain. Or take more than I should for the particular pain. So I can get that Nnarcotic high", or "euphoria". I have even abused (in small amounts- I am NOT a cunt about this) some of Rudy's pain meds while he's been hospitalised at various times.

So I guess, in ways, I haven't really been sober at all, have I? I AM a recovering alcoholic, luckily, not just a dry drunk like our President. So that's good. Day by day. I can't say anything about tomorrow, but TODAY I will not drink. And repeat that every day. I should also say that about pills too.
