They say that outside of a snake, a woman is a man's best friend, because inside of a snake, the woman can't read. I'm not really sure how that bit of down home wisdom is supposed to go, but I'm pretty sure it involves women being eaten alive by snakes. I think. Anyway, that's all apropo of nothing because my name is Tammy, and I have been swallowed whole and alive by a snake and let me tell you, I have certainly become illiterate. Because of inside a snake, it's too dark to read.

But not too dark to be digested alive. That's a bit of a joke, but not a very good one, I don't think. Because I am being digested alive. Being inside of a snake's stomach, after it swallowed me whole and alive. After all.

Maybe I should go back to the very beginning, start this whole thing over again. Back to before I was inside of this snake. Back before I was wrapped inside of a snake's body. Back before I was more than just a vaguely woman shaped bulge inside the stomach of the beast.
