Anyway, they sucked about half a litre of clear yellow fluid from Rudy's right lung-sac (space between his lung and the lung lining). The left didn't have enough to drain. On the other hand, they are also giving him a lot of packed blood cells. On the other hand, he's been in the hospital since early Monday morning. On the other hand, he'll be going to an adult family home/assissted living center for some time after he leaves the nursing home before he comes home. On the other hand...

On the other hand, if he does die anytime soon (soon as defined by less than 20 years) then they will have to institutionalise me for a time to keep me from hurting myself. And I am with it enough already now to know that if he DOES die anytime soon, *I* will be turning myself in to be institutionalised for a time to keep me from hurting myself.
