I have been trying to clean and streamline the laptop (software and bootwise) for a time because it was taking like 4 minutes from "press the power button" to "you can use it now". Too long. So I have gotten some progs to clean the system, clean the registry (winxp), etc etc etc. End result? It now takes almost TEN MINUTES from "press the power button" to "use can use it now".

Fuck. Fuck me with a gasoline powered chainsaw! But promise me foreplay first : )

So I dunno. Has to be answer, dunno what it is. I can't even control what programs start up anymore- every program (comes with winxp or 3rd party) tells me there is NOTHING that auto starts up- but about 10 progs auto start up and I dunno how to fix that.

SO there is my life.
