I converted slightly over a year ago to the delightful branch of Christianity known as Latter Day Saints because it kinda made the Bible actually make sense. And compared to other branches of Christianity, I MUCH prefer being a Mormon than, say, a Southern Baptist- the Mormons don't preach Hellfire- they preach being happy on Earth because God wants us to be happy. Aside from the being excommunicated from the church should you ever happen to engage in an act of homosexuality*. WHich would probably include everyone in the world because "to think is is the same as doing it" and I betcha that even the most strictest het man or woman has wondered what a cock down the throat/cunt against the tongue tastes and feels like deep down inside. So to speak.

But even tho the bible made more sense at the time (given that slant that even now I prefer (the MORMON slant :) )) it's just- not making a ton of sense any more. The Bible is STILL fucked up, no matter what you think when you look at it. It's STILL contradictions from one end to the other.

And when I look at the universe, I STILL don't see a God. I see a WONDERFUL and AWE INSPIRING universe, but no God.

However, when I am around people of the church, even one of them :) my mind shifts (I think because I AM clinically insane) and I am a believer again. UntilI leave the company of Believers.
